Quelle vague. On sent la puissance dès qu'on surfe, une grosse poussée suivie d'un gros rebond. Mon bateau (Quarks de Robson, spécialement acheté pour le voyage) part dans tous les sens, autant en glisse qu'en l'air. Après quelques 360° rapides les premiers air-blunts fusent. On retrouve comme une sensation d'océan, mais dans une vague statique, que du bonheur. Poussé sur la gauche de la vague, je me retrouve inexorablement dans le "pit", la partie la plus dure de la vague. Un creux deux fois plus grand et deux fois plus puissant m'accueille. Maintenant aucuns soucis avec le Air Blunt et j'ai commencé à attaquer le Donkey flip.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_PydpjOEQn7U/SszwxVltMiI/AAAAAAAAA1U/hKw0Q3yvfbE/s1600-h/IMGP3925.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_PydpjOEQn7U/SszwxVltMiI/AAAAAAAAA1U/hKw0Q3yvfbE/s400/IMGP3925.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389947584455193122" /></a><br />Après 10 jours sur Montréal, exténués par les sessions et par les trajets en longboard sous 30°C avec tout le matos de kayak (bateaux compris bien entendu) nous sommes partis en direction de la fameuse Ottawa River.<br />Arrivée de nuit à la célèbre base de raft Wilderness Tour, nous passons ensuite les 5 jours suivant à une autre société de rafting River Run, possédant un camping sauvage à souhait (visite des ratons laveurs et des moufettes la nuit) et une crique privée sur l'Ottawa River. Premier jour sur la rivière, on embarque sans savoir un peu plus bas que l'embarquement habituel, après un petit passage où Florian abandonne après s'être explosé l'arcade on se retrouve derrière les Mc Coys. Pas de soucis on remonter avec le gros contre, beaucoup de monde sur Corner Wave et Horseshoe Hole. Mon bateau se révèle difficile à contrôler sur Corner, qui est très très pentue et qui a une surface de surf assez courte, ce qui ne convient pas à la super glisse de mon bateau qui, avec ces facteurs, à une tendance à enfourner. Mais j'arrive à passer de jolis clean spins et quelques beaux air blunt. Puis direction Horseshoe qui se situe 50 mètres après Corner, un bon petit rouleau qui retient pas mal (les raft font des 360 dedans) avec au programme back blunts, blunts, 360, et mc Nasty qui commencent à passer. Un gros planiol de 2km nous sépare de Garberator qui est malheureusement noyée, suivi de Bus Eater qui manque cruellement d'eau, quelle poisse ! Pas bien grave on continue la descente pour trouver quelques rapides sympa comme the Lorne, Coliseum et son rouleau énorme: Big Kauna ! Une descente magnifique, des gens accueillants, bienvenue au Canada !<br />Les jours suivant nous avons navigué sur les Mc Coys, dont une fois sur l'eau à 6h du matin pour profiter seuls des vagues et du paysage au petit matin, une session tout simplement magique ! Un spot génial (la meilleure vague sur laquelle j'ai navigué à ce jour), une vague stable, rententive, donnant un rebond extraordinaire et facile d'accès quand on veut repartir (un petit chemin qui longe ce "petit" rapide). Là je décide de tenter un maximum de figures, et beaucoup passent ! Les Donkeys flips n'ont plus de secrets, les clean-blunts décollent, et quelques flips turns sont de passage ! Les Air-blunt décollent de plus en plus et se transforment en Pan-Am. On nous avait promis du spectacle, et bien il y en a eu! Le CLAEV et Djé ont concocté un plat à base de beau rouleau, beau monde, bon son et grand soleil, et le résultat est terrible! Des sélections drastiques par des juges sortant tout juste de formation ont joué en faveur (et en défaveur) de certain, mais comme on dit "C'est le jeu" !<br /><br />Voici les résultats de la Team: <br />-Gautier Boudat; qualifié en demi-finale 6eme C1<br />-Jo Suc; 1er C1, 57eme K1<br />-Sebastien Devred; 1er K1 junior (avec un run à 1340 pts soit le plus gros run de la compétition !) et 3eme C1 junior.<br />-Robin Feigné; 47eme K1<br />Olivier le gérant du magasin Passion Nature n'était pas présent lors de la compétition faute de livraison de matériel mais il sera surement présent lors du FKT à St Pée de Bigorre (Flip Flap) les 8-9 mai 2009.
